About our new name and logo
We're now the Vespa Club of D.C.!
We've changed our name from Vespa Committee of Washington, D.C. to Vespa Club of D.C. With the new name comes a new logo.
The D.C. flag
The image in the headlight replaces the three stars in D.C.'s flag with wasps. 'Vespa' is Italian for 'wasp,' and wasps are a typical feature of Vespa club logos.
Italia
We've changed our name, but we remain committed to promoting Italian culture through scooters. Our logo shows this by incorporating the Italian flag and displaying our founding date in Roman numerals.
Colors and typeface
The colors and typeface of the logo are inspired by classic Go-Go posters, paying tribute to a distinctly D.C. art form.
